Pistachos Ana

Kerman

The Kerman pistachio, which originated in the 1950s in the United States, is the result of a selection of choice seeds from Iran. Its name, in fact, comes from the Iranian province of Kerman, the world’s largest producer of pistachios.

The nut of this female pistachio variety is one of the most popular in the world. Not only does the female Kerman pistachio tree produce large volumes of fruit, but its nuts are larger and contain sugar levels that surpass those of other varieties.

A great many of the pistachio trees on the estate are of the Kerman variety and, naturally, insecticide- and herbicide-free.

Sirora

This variety of female pistachio tree was created in Australia by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation. (CSIRO).

Its fruit is closely similar to that of the Kerman pistachio, though slightly smaller. Nevertheless, compared to other pistachio varieties, these trees have a large production capacity in harsher conditions.

We also grow the Sirora variety on our estate, naturally respecting the environment to obtain organic pistachios of the highest quality.

Larnaka

Larnaka is a variety that originated on the island of Cyprus.

The fruit of this variety, which is known for its high vigor and productivity, is medium in size, elongated and tasty. It is intended primarily for industry and not as a snack food.

The Larnaka variety is likewise grown on the Pistachos Ana estate, where we meticulously care for our organic pistachios.
